This is a drill bit holder I design. After purchasing a set of quick release drill bits that did not include a case, I created the above wall-mounted holder in SolidWorks and printed it on my 3D printer. Now, each of the 14 bits are easily accessible in an orderly mount that doesn’t take up space on my crowded workbench. This is a personal project I completed at home.

Current Status:

I am a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Southern California working in aerospace and defense. I have 6 years of professional industry experience and am pursuing a masters degree at Columbia University with an expected graduation of Spring of 2026. My current projects are a 3D printed Japanese book binding jig and a miniature RP2040 implementation with an integrated display and battery. I am a published author, having presented a paper on my laser cutter design at the 2018 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition, and a designated subject matter expert at Raytheon Technologies in the use of Laser Trackers.
